Frankie Castanea, also known as Chaotic Witch Aunt, is a folk witch, practitioner of Italian American folk magic and folk witchcraft, reconnecter, heretic, animist, tarot & playing card reader and author. They have been on a journey of reconnection to the culture of the Italian diaspora and ancestral practices for five years now, and within it have found a passion for creating products inspired by Italian-American ways of being, animism, ancestors, and spirit relationships.

While their lived culture is through the diaspora of their South Italian ancestors, Frankie holds many lineages including those of immigrants and lineages that they have been invited into to as a guest. Their folk magic is informed by many experiences with spirits, ancestors, land, Saints, and seeks to make space for a balance between tradition and reconstruction. Frankie has a close and personal relationship with spirits of place, plant ancestors, matriarchs of their Italian lineages, animal allies, and living community. Chaotic Witch Aunt is proudly queer and disability owned.
